PARKS + OPEN SPACE

Shoreline Street Ends Capital Projects Improvement
City Department of Transportation (SDOT)
Project Overview
BvP staff led a public engagement process for Seattle’s Shoreline Street Ends, a program dedicated to improving waterfront access at public rights-of-way along the Duwamish River, Lake Washington, and Lake Union. Prioritizing the importance of public and blue spaces, we guided both community members and City stakeholders through the redesign process to enhance access and usability.
To address neighborhood needs and build excitement around the project, our team developed public involvement plans, designed and facilitated meetings, created project websites and outreach materials, and coordinated internal project team sessions. The result was a collaborative, informed approach that strengthened community connections and advanced equitable access to Seattle’s waterfront.
