Seattle Parks and Recreation Tree Maintenance Policy Update

BvP led the revision and update of the Tree and Maintenance Policy by developing and implementing a two-pronged stakeholder engagement strategy targeting both internal subject-matter experts and external stakeholders. Insights gathered through this engagement process, combined with best-practice research, informed BvP’s technical drafting of the policy and the creation of an accompanying guidebook. The guidebook provides city staff with clear guidance on maintaining trees and managing the urban forest canopy on public lands.
