Equitable Engagement for Seattle City Light’s Climate Adaptation Plan Update  

Seattle City Light hired BvP to lead an extensive engagement process associated with updating the utility’s Climate Adaptation Plan. After conducting staff interviews and internal workshops to identify the vulnerabilities of the existing Plan and collecting feedback on a range of climate adaptation strategies, BvP launched an external engagement process focused on gathering input from historically underrepresented communities and businesses. Working with a range of local partners, BvP provided tailored outreach to key stakeholder groups and initiated focused conversations that elevated multiple, critical perspectives on the impacts of climate change.
