PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Broadview Planning led a visioning process to engage local businesses and residents in the development of the Northeast Pioneer Square Framework Plan. The initial phase of the project included facilitating a 25-member Steering Committee and nine topic-specific focus groups with the goal of defining a long-term vision for the study area that prioritized economic development, public safety, and broad civic engagement. This nine-month process resulted in stakeholder agreement on a vision statement and goals to guide future planning and development in the neighborhood. The next phase of the project will focus on building community capacity and identifying “quick wins” to address the neighborhood’s economic recovery and housing shortages.
