Georgetown Public Safety Taskforce
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
In collaboration with the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, BVP facilitated a community-driven strategic planning process to improve neighborhood vitality and public safety in Georgetown. Working alongside community leaders and coordinating a series of meetings and online surveys, task force members identified the neighborhood’s challenges and brainstormed solutions to address public safety issues. These discussions informed our process of developing metrics for safety and sustainability with the explicit intention of developing community capacity. The final report serves as a tool for the community to prioritize projects and seek funding to improve public safety and neighborhood vitality in Georgetown.
